I have to admit… I’m not sure where it started. I only know that I do, in fact, have affection for antique boxes of drawers. I use them for storing keepsakes, jewelry, candles, sewing items, keys... and well, just about anything. When in my home, it doesn’t take long to notice my affection for them.
Probably my favorite treasures have been watch makers cabinets. Right behind watchmakers cabinets are homemade miniature doll dressers lovingly made by fathers for their daughters.
But, as a collector and decorator, I simply enjoy drawers. Whether they be apothecary, spice, sewing, or make-do’s ~ I can’t imagine not having them as part of my surroundings.
